Mixed-Use Development, Auldyn House, Ramsey

Ayre Architects developed proposals for Auldyn House, a mixed-use development comprising eight apartments and three retail units on a brownfield site on Ramsey’s quayside. The scheme brings residential and commercial uses together, making productive use of previously developed land and contributing to the activity of the town centre.

Careful consideration has been given to the scale, proportions and appearance of the new building, creating a design that sits comfortably within the established quayside streetscape. The proposals also respond to Ramsey’s tidal flood risk, integrating flood resilience into the design.

Planning approval was granted in 2023, and demolition of the former building is now complete.
